Our Campaign
On Becoming a Mother is a creative archive dedicated to capturing the range of stories and experiences of motherhood through the generations and cultures within East Lancashire. Through photos, written word, audio, and video, we aim to build a time capsule for reflection, connection and learning. Our mission is to celebrate, document, and elevate every mother’s voice. Mother’s are the heart of society and it is about time we celebrate this.
We invite you to both learn and contribute to our growing collection.
We have had interest beyond East Lancashire and we envisage chapters of this project growing.
This is a volunteer led project as we seek to crowdfund and access grants.
